In a tough election year for Democrats, Suzan DelBene is going on the offensive. Republican Dave Reichert has managed to cling to a district where President Obama won by 14 points, but Suzan DelBene is closing in and ready to finally send him packing. Click here to help Suzan bring her progressive voice to Washington.
Two recent polls show Suzan DelBene in a statistical dead heat with Dave Reichert. Yesterday, after years of supporting Reichert, the Seattle Times threw their support behind Suzan DelBene, praising her “tremendous promise.” In making their case, the paper cited their divergent views on support for endless war: “DelBene is unequivocal about the need to disengage America from two protracted and expensive wars.”
This is real opportunity to get a real progressive into office at a time when we will need strong pro-peace voices to drown out the tea partiers. As part of our commitment to helping Suzan win, our staffer Caitlin is on the ground in Washington, working around the clock to recruit volunteers and get voters in the 8th district out to the polls.
